A. Topographic Survey
Genesis Halff subconsultant, Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corp. (SSMC) will provide design and topographic surveying for this project. Survey services will include:

  • Provide a Topographic Survey in accordance with Chapter 5J-17 F.A.C.
  • Locate all improvements and utilities, as evidenced by above-ground features or if designated and
    marked by the Utility Owners or their designated representative, Southeastern will coordinate the
    Sunshine 811 design ticket locate process.
  • Obtain spot elevations on natural ground and existing improvements suitable for interpolation of
    one foot contours to be shown on the final drawings.
  • Establish a minimum of eight (8) site benchmarks.
  • Topographic coverage will be limited to 10’ outside of the right of way to the existing road center
    line starting at SR-85 (North Ferdon Blvd) and ending at Monterrey Road.

B. Construction Plans
Genesis Halff will prepare the design of a five (5) foot concrete sidewalk along the south side of Stillwell
Boulevard from the intersection of N. Ferdon Boulevard (SR 85) and Stillwell Boulevard to the
intersection of Monterey Road and Stillwell Boulevard. Design will consist of sidewalk design (2’
minimum offset from the existing edge of pavement), limited drainage analysis (see Task C), erosion
control, utility coordination, traffic control, and signing and pavement markings. The plans will be provided to the CLIENT at 30%, 60%, and Final design phases for review and comment.
Plans will consist of the following components:

  • Key Sheet
  • Drainage Map
  • General Notes
  • Typical Sections and Details
  • Project Layout
  • Plan Sheets
  • Cross Sections
  • Erosion Control Plan
  • Traffic Control Plan
  • Signing and Pavement Markings

D. Utility Coordination
Genesis Halff will submit 60% design plans to the UAOs identified from the Sunshine 811 Design Tickets provided by SSMC. UAOs will be required to submit markups of their existing facilities located within the project limits, and provide proposed relocation plans if conflicts are unavoidable. Markups will be incorporated into the Plan Sheets and provided for review at the 90% design submittal phase.

E. Opinion of Probable Cost
Genesis Halff will provide an Opinion of Probable Cost (OPC) to the CLIENT at the 90% and 100% design submittal phases. The OPC will be developed from the project’s estimated quantities, and prices will be generated from the use of the FDOT unit price averages for the project area.

F. Project Coordination
Genesis Halff will provide project coordination as necessary to complete the services described in this
Scope of Services. This includes one (1) in-person meeting with the CLIENT.
