Genesis served as the right of way general consultant to FDOT District 5 for 80+ parcels on the expansion of S.R. 35 / Baseline Road through Marion County, north of Belleview, Florida. Genesis prepared an overall Corridor data book to evaluate existing regulatory conditions within the Corridor. Genesis prepared an overall Corridor matrix to identify each parcel, Tax ID#, stationing, size, acquisition description, and address, and also reviewed overall regulatory requirements as determined within the Corridor.

Through Corridor GIS mapping with aerial photography, Genesis was able to prepare individual parcel acquisition drawings, zoning, and land-use maps. Genesis was then able to design a base parcel sketch based on the FDOT right of way mapping and existing conditions. By creating a base parcel sketch of the "before" conditions, Genesis had the ability to portray the "before" condition, acquisition, and "after" conditions acreage for the land. Furthermore, Genesis was able to meet and coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to verify land planning/engineering issues affecting the subject property through data collected using GIS.

Additional work included preliminary engineering analysis on each parcel to identify potential issues for access, topographic modifications, and onsite drainage. Genesis evaluated soils, FEMA flood, and existing utilities within the Corridor and provided descriptions for future stormwater permitting requirements.
