Contact Staff: James P. Sullivan, P.E.

Genesis completed the intersection design services for the City of Tallahassee to create a new northbound for this existing 3-direction intersection. The project included extensive traffic modeling to determine lane requirements to maintain a Level of Service D for the design year, 2030. Improvements included mast arm signals, roadway widening, median improvements, sidewalk construction, signage and striping.

The traffic analysis included modeling of various intersection configurations including a roundabout and converting intersecting streets to one-way only. A portion of the intersection is under FDOT jurisdiction and required extensive permit coordination with that agency.
