FeatherSound Buildings 1 & 2 are multi-story office towers, framing an existing pedestrian mall/courtyard.  Genesis Landscape Architects designed several alternative courtyard redevelopment plans for client review, and worked closely with our client and major tenants to finalize the design. Top priorities were user safety and security, improved pedestrian circulation, increased use of this space, and ease of continuing maintenance.

Genesis developed a final design incorporating level areas and low plantings for high visibility to promote user safety and security.  Pedestrian circulation problems were addressed with the addition of new walkways and  a new vehicular drop-off area.  New pedestrian scale lighting, specialty pavements, and site furnishings were incorporated, as well as extensive low-maintenance landscape areas irrigated with reclaimed water.

The result is an attractive and comfortable space that is highly visible, easy to maintain, and is enjoying significantly increased use.
