Elementary School K is a new 640 student elementary school on 8.8 acres. This project was a site re-development of an existing school, which was totally demolished for the construction of the new school.

Because of the need to demolish an old school and build a new one, project schedule was a critical element. This project had to be permitted and constructed on schedule to open in time for students to return to school.

Genesis kicked off the project by providing existing conditions topographic and boundary survey, worked with the owner and architect to develop a new site plan to optimize the site, coordinated with the City to accept increased stormwater discharge and provide detailed site design and permitting services.

Working as part of the project team, Genesis assisted with maintaining the critical construction schedule and keeping the project within budget.

Genesis provided traffic engineering, concurrency, site planning/design, construction documents, permitting, construction administration and final certifications to Leon County Schools for their new south side elementary school.
