Genesis was hired by Better Baymeadows, Inc. to create a Master Plan for Baymeadows Center using a public charrette process. The site is divided by a half mile stretch of Baymeadows Road which is a major arterial roadway within the Baymeadows community. The site currently exists of commercial, office, and warehouse developments.

Genesis prepared site inventory and analysis drawings along with four separate concepts prior to the charrette. The four concepts included were the following:

  • Retrofit Plan
  • Renovation Plan
  • Redevelopment Plan - Suburban Infill
  • Redevelopment Plan - Urban Infill

Genesis analyzed all of the public opinions to create the final Master Plan for Baymeadows Road. The main concept incorporates pedestrian and vehicular connectivity internally, and to the surrounding Bayberry Road and Baymeadows Way. Moderate infill developments and the closure of some access points also were key to the design. Baymeadows Road will be maintained as a major arterial road and left turns lanes have been removed from Baymeadows Road into the surrounding developments.
