As part of an interdisciplinary team of consultants, Genesis provided planning and land development expertise to efforts which master planned 240 acres of land situated at the crossroads of one of Tallahassee's busiest intersections. Efforts to widen Park Avenue and to extend Blair Stone Road north through the undeveloped Smith Property separated the property into four quadrants. The proposed commercial development -Governor's Park Corners - was thus created by the master plan prepared by Genesis.
The Smiths, pioneers of Tallahassee and long time civic leaders, worked with the City to accommodate the road right-of-way needs and concurrently to plan the commercial lands within their ownership. They also donated over 100 acres for green space which provided the City with a key link in its proposed Greenway System.
