Genesis completed design services to improve the turning radii in order to accommodate tractor trailers making a right turn. SR 121 serves as a truck by-pass around the downtown area of the City of Lake Butler. Turning trucks were not capable of making the turn without crossing over the curb and sidewalk. The existing signal pole, drainage structure and utility poles located in the intersection had been damaged.

Using AutoTurn software, an appropriate radius was established and plans were prepared to widen the roadway, replace the existing signal system with new mast arms, replace the existing drainage structures outside the radius and resurface the roadway. In addition, the profile of SR 121 was lowered to eliminate a hump from an abandoned railroad crossing.
