SR 694 (Gandy Blvd.) from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N. to SR 687

Since January 2014, Genesis and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 have teamed up to transform Gandy Boulevard from I-275 to east of 4th Street N. in Pinellas County into an elevated roadway with interchanges and frontage roads.
The new roadway features are designed to improve traffic flow along one of the busiest and key evacuation routes for St. Petersburg. New features and improvements include:
- A six-lane roadway (three in each direction) from I-275 to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N.
- A four-lane roadway (two in each direction) between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N. to east 4th Street N.
- Overpasses at 4th Street N., Roosevelt Boulevard, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N., and 94th Avenue
- A frontage road system parallel to the main roadway
- Replacement of an existing box culvert on 4th Street N. at Tinney Creek
- Pedestrian features and bicycle lanes
- Median changes
- Drainage
- Signing and pavement markings
- Traffic signals
- Street lighting
- An intelligent transportation system (ITS)
