Conceptual design and permitting of flood control project at intersection of Marine Parkway and Alamanda Drive. The intersection experienced chronic flooding; Previous attempts to allelviate problem resulted in design solutions with cost estimates ranging from $600,000 to $2 million. Genesis developed an innovative solution which had a total cost of $200,000 resulting in a savings of a minimum of $400,000 to the City of New Port Richey.

Our solution involved rasing the intersection above flood elevation, and providing flood plain compensation within an adjacent lot.  The lot in question was a run-down vacant single family dwelling, which the absentee owner was happy to sell for appraised value.
