Hillsborough Community College - Dale Mabry Campus

Pedestrian Center / Courtyard Renovation:  As part of our Continuing Services contract, Genesis provided survey, engineering, landscape architecture, and construction services for renovations to the main pedestrian courtyard area on campus.

Design priorities included creation of a useful and attractive plaza while improving drainage and providing an easy to maintain paved hardscape.  Expanded irrigated planting areas are designed with an emphasis on a low maintenance, easy to maintain plant palette.  Site lighting is incorporated to enhance the quality of the space for both daytime and nighttime enjoyment.  The college intends utilize the renovated space to host outdoor activities including the annual Presidential Showcase.

This project takes on special significance since the College intends to extend the theme developed in this space throughout campus in future phases that will improve student safety and enhance campus aesthetics.
