Bullard Parkway (Harney Road)

Genesis provided the design for lowering the profile of an existing, heavily traveled rural two lane collector road to an elevation of a major signalized crossroad (U.S. 301). The highway would be widened from four lanes to six lanes in the future. The project also required widening of Bullard Parkway to a four lane, urban section incorporating sidewalks and a bicycle lane. The emphasis of this project was to design an interim major intersection improvement that would directly interface with the ultimate widening of U.S. 301 with a minimum disruption to traffic and utilities. Genesis also provided construction services as requested by County field staff.
