Public Security Department Headquarters*
This 702 acre (300 hectare) master plan encompasses new headquarters and training compound for the Asir Region’s Public Security Department. The headquarters and training compound has three basic elements: Town Center, Married apartment housing, and Villas for officers and guests. The focus of the entire community is the Town Center, which includes the police headquarters building; the training center, barracks and clubs for officers and cadets; the official guest villa/reception facility; the cinema/conference culture center; and the prison facility. The married apartment housing consists of three major clusters of one and two bedroom apartments and five small groups of three and four bedroom apartments. Landscaped open spaces between clusters lead down the hill to two school facilities. Adjacent to the official guest villa/reception facility are the police commandant’s villa, villas for high-ranking officers and villas for guest officers. Between these villas and the villas for lower-ranking officers are the commissary/hospital/community center and the school facilities.
