IDS - High School Campus

Since 1968, Independent Day School, (IDS) has provided a fully accredited school program for over 500 students from Pre-K through 8th grade. To expand the IDS learning experience to the high school level, the IDS School Board selected and purchased an 80 +/- acre parcel located north of the existing campus in Pasco County.

IDS’ goal is to establish a world class college-oriented high school program for up to 800 students with an emphasis on technology, arts and sports, all encompassed with an environmental conscience- designed campus. Genesis was retained to represent IDS in achieving the necessary entitlements for the school. Genesis, in working with County staff, were able to realign a new 4-lane arterial to reduce its impact on the school.

Genesis also prepared the conceptual Master Plan, which includes tournament quality soccer, baseball and softball field, Olympic-size pool complex, “black box” theater, media center and library. The plan includes access to an on-site lake for biological research and a visiting professors retreat. LEED concepts are incorporated in the plan.
