Lake Rowell Hydrological Restoration

Genesis Group was retained to investigate the hydraulic effects of removing approximately 0.8 miles of the southerly berm on Alligator Creek that lies immediately adjacent to Lake Rowell. The site had been proposed as a wetland mitigation site for 2.44 acres of impact wetlands from the reconstruction of the New River Bridge in Union County, Florida at CR 229. The efforts to determine these effects included gathering topographic data from the area under study, obtaining existing stormwater models for Alligator Creek and numerically modeling the modified channel using the acquired survey information.
