San Marcos Boat Ramp

Genesis Group provided site and stormwater design for a double boat ramp with associated dock facilities on the St. Marks River adjacent to an existing boat ramp. Site improvements included parking accommodations for 14 passenger car spaces, 44 combination vehicle/boat trailers spaces and two ADA combination vehicle/boat trailer spaces. To provide adequate facilities for the expanded boat ramps, a new on grade restroom design was provided through a subconsultant to replace the existing restroom. The existing ramp was retro-fitted as a canoe/kayak launch.

As a basis for the design, Genesis Group’s surveyors provided a topographic and bathymetric survey of the project area. Support by our survey staff was also provided for the wetland delineation by a subconsultant providing environmental services. Other services provided during the course of the project included the negotiation of a big-term land lease with FDEP for the parking area, and permitting services for a FDEP General Wetland Resource Permit, FDEP Stormwater Permit and USACE Individual Section 404 and Section 10 Permits.

Genesis Group also provided support to the City of St. Marks during the bidding, pre-construction and construction phases to provide a functional and successfully completed project.
