Millers Ale House

This beautiful new restaurant is located on a site that was once considered Tallahassee’s eyesore just one quarter mile from the State Capital.

This property once contained an abandoned hotel and restaurant which was vandalized and seriously degraded. Redevelopment posed several challenges, the greatest of which was stormwater.

A 54" FDOT drainage pipe runs diagonally through the site and is severely causing flooding. Due to this issue, Genesis worked closely with the Florida Department of Transportation and the City of Tallahassee to design a site that met both the clients’ needs and satisfied regulatory requirements.

Genesis Goup services included extensive stormwater and flood plain modeling, site plan design, environmental permitting and assisting with communicating with the surrounding neighborhood.
