Main Street Revitalization - CDBG

Genesis Group provided planning, design, and construction administration services to the City of Crestview for roadway and parking streetscape improvements on Main Street, between Chestnut Avenue and SR 85 (Ferdon Boulevard).

The project included :

• Removal of existing medians and replacement with raised landscaped medians;
• Milling and resurfacing of asphalt;
• Installation of underground conduit for future use by utilities;
• Concrete island construction and improvements of curbs, sidewalks, ADA ramps, driveways, and drainage structures.

Streetscape features included:

• Installation of decorative street lighting;
• Installation of decorative brick sidewalks, crosswalks;
• Landscaping improvements;
• New street and parking striping;
• Installation of signs

Adjacent to Main Street, at Twin Hills Park, a new parking area was constructed that included installation of drainage structures, earthwork grading improvements, sod placement, relocation of lighting, relocation of a water fountain, and repaving and striping of the parking area.
