Jackson County Concurrency Management System

In September 2006, Jackson County commissioned Genesis Group to prepare a transportation concurrency management ordinance with a proportionate-fair share program for transportation mitigation. This project was completed in advance of the December 1, 2006 statutory deadline.

Once the ordinance was adopted on November 28, 2006, Genesis Group prepared an interactive spreadsheet database to implement the new procedures. The database allows Community Development staff to monitor the traffic impacts on roadways in unincorporated Jackson County and the impacts to the County from its eleven (11) municipalities as well as each of the surrounding counties. Having this system in place positions the County to be prepared for growth when it occurs.
