Gaines Street Corridor

This project included master planning and public involvement for an Urban Land Corridor impacted by changing land uses and a proposed six lane highway.

To further a PD&E study already underway by the Florida Department of Transportation for reconstruction of Gaines Street, Genesis worked with the City-County Planning Department & Community Stakeholders, to conduct a series of five public workshops culminating in a 100 person design charrette. Based upon the information gathered from the charrette, the Planning Department and MPO developed a series of recommendations for the design of Gaines Street from Lake Bradford to Suwannee Street.
