Walton County Traffic Concurrency Implementation
Genesis Group reviewed Walton County’s transportation concurrency management system and provided recommendations for implementing a revised system which presents clear procedures for conducting a transportation concurrency analysis as well as alternative strategies for mitigating identified transportation concurrency deficiencies. The Walton County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt Genesis Group’s recommendations to modify language in the Land Development Code.
Subsequently, to implement the changes in the Land Development Code, Genesis Group designed and prepared an interactive Transportation Concurrency Management System based on the PM peak hour to provide staff with a mechanism for monitoring the cumulative traffic impacts of land development in Walton County.
