Hillsborough Community College Ybor Campus Student Services Building
Genesis Group is providing paving, grading, drainage, water and sewer design, permitting and construction services for the new Student Services Building on the Ybor campus of Hillsborough Community College.
The project involves redevelopment within a historically significant portion of the City with brick streets. Proposed improvements include removing, storing and reinstalling brick pavement in order to cross a public street with chilled water mains. The building is currently under design to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards for a “green building” with sufficient points projected at the time of this writing for Gold certification. Genesis is the civil engineering team member that is addressing site related LEED items for certification. Construction completion is scheduled for December 2010.
