Big Shoals State Park

Genesis Group has completed the detailed planning, design and permitting for this new State Park located primarily in Hamilton County.  The project consists of several specific site improvements including:

•  Maintenance facilities
•  Park entrance
•  Primary access road
•  Rangers' station
•  Trailhead for multi-use bike trail (Woodpecker Trail)
•  Parking area for a future outdoor education center
•  Picnic pavilions
•  Composting toilet facilities
•  Restroom
•  Nature trails
•  Canoe launch reconstruction
•  Stream bank stabilization
•  Detailed design of the portage sites for the Shoals. 

Genesis worked closely with the Suwannee River Water Management District to complete the permitting.  It is anticipated that this project will go to construction in the near future.
