Thomasville Road Flyover
his complex roadway project required conversion of two miles of four-lane roadway into eight lanes with in-street bike lanes, sidewalks, and underground stormwater conveyance system. Genesis was the prime consultant for this contract which required signal design for six major intersections, structural design for a fly over bridge structure, roadway lighting, and three stormwater retention facilities. This FDOT project was on a critical schedule which required final plans to be completed within four months. Public information services for this contract included preparation of a three dimensional model, meetings with business owners, graphic enhancement of aerial photography, and presentation of public announcements and newsletters.
