Mission San Luis Historic Reconstruction

Genesis provided site design services for the historic reconstruction of the Church, Friary, Chief's House, and Council House.

Genesis provided a full range of professional services to support development of the property. The site presented several challenges for development, including:

• Recognition of historic conditions;
• Significant terrain;
• A closed drainage basin with poorly percolating soils;
• The need for off-site sanitary sewer extensions;
• Hidden infrastructure including stormwater facilities and watermain for fire protection; and
• Historic resource avoidance.

Permitting the improvements through the City of Tallahassee Growth Management Department and the Florida Division of Historic Resources were critical components of the professional services.
