Downtown Park, Parking & Streetscape Improvements

A preliminary development plan was completed for a 9-block downtown open space area and adjoining commercial strip for the City of Okeechobee, Florida. The plan proposed parking, lighting, access and ADA/504, and other improvements including a new ampitheater, reflecting pond/fountain, open festival space, pavilion, children's play areas and a veteran's memorial. Other improvements identified included site improvements to the Chamber of Commerce, library, a water play park and improvements to a community pool facility and City Hall.

A preliminary cost estimate was prepared and has been phased for development over a five year period.
