  • Hillsborough County will be recognized for having the largest Renewable Energy Park of its kind in the Eastern United States.
  • Reclaiming Old Phosphate Mine to create new high tech job base.
  • Creating a unique hybrid category which will draw from the work force adjacent to the urban community and products from the adjacent rural community.
  • Algal Biofuel Production
  • Use of available reclaimed water for the research/industrial facilities, biomass facility, and aquaculture ponds.
  • Creating a significant tax base on a property that has been a non-reclaimed phosphate mine.
  • Project would restore Turkey Creek a long impacted and never restored wetland system.
  • Project would start the Implementation of the Economic Stimulus Task Force Report and Comprehensive Plan Policies requiring Hillsborough County to provide targeted industries by the end of 2010.
