eSuites modifies permit for new site
Jacksonville eSuites LLC submitted an Environmental Resource Permit application to the St. Johns River Water Management District for the upscale, boutique concept hotel, eSuites Hotel, to be constructed on Bonneval Road near Butler Boulevard and Interstate 95. The hotel is projected to include 224 rooms, a 72-seat restaurant with 16 employees and a 3,800-square-foot convention space on 7.46 acres. The permit was submitted July 2 for a modification to a previous permit, and shows a potential impact to Pottsburg Creek.
The Tampa-based hotel brand was created by Jerry Ellenburg. Average room rates will be between $140 and $160, with room amenities including spaSuites, with hot-tubs; sportSuites, with athletic equipment; upscale dining with organic options; tech-savvy meeting rooms with a tech concierge; free wireless Internet access; a built-in water purification system; and the availability of Lincoln Town Cars and Navigators for use by guests. The company expects to open the hotel in late 2008.
