Mission San Luis Visitor Center

Genesis Group has been providing professional planning, surveying, engineering, and landscape architectural services for the Mission San Luis de Apalachee for nearly ten (10) years.

The Visitor Center will be located adjacent to the existing parking area and will serve as the entry point to the historic site. Genesis Group will serve as a subconsultant to Johnson Peterson Architects, Inc., to complete the survey and engineering design for the new facility.

The design will include the expansion of the existing parking area and stormwater management facility, along with providing utility services to the new Visitor Center. The topography of the site will require a creative grading design that will be complicated by a grand oak tree that will serve as the entry focal point. In addition, clay soil causes significant seepage slopes directly adjacent to the parking area.
