The Economic Yearbook section of the April 2011 edition of Florida Trend magazine features two Genesis projects, Capital Cascades Park and the Gaines Street Revitalization project.

Capital Cascades Park

The construction of Capital Cascade Park and Gaines Street Revitalization Project is proceeding forward at a quick pace. Both projects were designed by Genesis Group and will feature major infrastructure improvements when completed. The projects continue to receive a lot of attention throughout the community. The article in Florida Trend emphasizes the excitement being generated by the projects.

From the Florida Trend article:

Two complementary projects are helping to reshape Leon County. Capital Cascade Park is the centerpiece of a $30-million project to recapture the natural beauty of an historic site despoiled decades ago by industrial usage. The 24-acre park, with a 4.25-mile greenway, will include biking and walking trails, an amphitheater and landscaped greenspace, and a cylindrical fountain recalling the original waterfall. Also under way is the $34-million Gaines Street Revitalization project - a mile-long stretch of Gaines Street being rebuilt as a pedestrian-friendly corridor between universities and downtown, meant to boost new-urban neighborhood redevelopment featuring public art displays, storefronts and live/work spaces.
