eSuites checks in to area market

Plans to open an eSuites, a new hotel flag, in Jacksonville and three other cities look more concrete. Jacksonville eSuites LLC, last month, applied to build an eight-story, 224-room hotel on Bonneval Road in the Southpoint area. The company bought the 7.5-acre parcel in August 2003. According to eSuites' Web site, the chain of hotels will cater to upscale, business travelers who want state-of-the-art technology. "Grand opening" is set for 2008.

Jacksonville Planning and Development Department review for eSuites Hotel, an eight-story, 224-room hotel, on Bonneval Road near Butler Point Road and Financial Way, on 7.46 acres, 24,000 square feet; agent is Doug Wilson, director of construction; owner is Jacksonville eSuites LLC, Dunedin; engineer is William Byers, Genesis Group; plans include a 72-seat restaurant and 3,800 square feet of meeting space.
